Stretch marks is an area of special interest to Revere Clinics. Having worked with a multitude of technologies and topical ingredients over the past 8 years, there is still no single magic treatment or ingredient that prevents or banishes them completely. Stretching and trauma to the skin can leave visible ‘stretch marks’. A loss of collagen and elastin leaves the skin with red or purple marks and indentations in the skin. Over time the marks fade and we are generally left with the damaged skin.
However, we believe we are getting some of the best results in the world with the Tritensive protocol that Dr Sach Mohan discovered in 2012. Tritensive works effectively to:
1. Reduce the width of the stretch marks
2. Improve the thickness of the damaged skin
3. Blend the colour of the stretch marks with the surrounding normal skin
Tritensive is a six month programme involving the initial use of the Retriderm Retinol product as a skin regenerator for 3-4 weeks. Nightly application of the product can stimulate resurfacing of the skin, causing some dryness and peeling.
As the skin acclimatises to the accelerated skin production, we look to change the architecture of the dermis with a combination of 4 Dermaroller/E Dermastamp microneedling and 3 Endymed fractitionated skin resurfacing sessions. With each treatment the FSR and needling gently traumatise the skin and encourages fibroblast cells to produce new collagen and elastin to repair the skin damage.
