For the last decade the Hydrafacial has been a global phenomenon as the leading medical facial. In 2022, a new challenger was launched, Preime Dermafacial, incorporating more steps and technologies that Hydrafacial was missing.
We’re proud to say we’re one of the first clinics in the World to also offer Preime, with many protocols co-developed by our founder, Dr Sach Mohan, who lectures and trains clinics around the World.
At Revere, we use Hydrafacial and Preime Dermafacials for “kickstart programs” designed to provide an immediate glow with a multi-step deep cleanse, exfoliation, and hydration. The good news, is we’re still fans of both and we often use Hydrafacial or Preime.
Both treatments begin with a deep cleanse or light peel exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and impurities. This is followed by a customized serum infusion. Whilst the Hydrafacial has superior choices of boosters with its collaboration with other skin brands, the Preime has an oxygen enhancing dermabrasion handpiece, called the Vibrox which we believe is its “hero” applicator. Whichever one you choose,
Beyond that deep cleanse, extraction and infusion, the key difference is the Preime has the better “customisation” – 3 additional technologies, Ultrasound, Radiofrequency and Microcurrent that enable it to provide benefits into the muscle and deeper tissue, whilst the Hydrafacial has a soothing LED and lymphatic draining component.
Hydrafacial is a non-invasive skincare treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration using a unique device to improve the appearance and health of the skin. Its suitable for all skin types and is incredibly gentle yet effective.
The treatments are relaxing, and half of our patients will have a nap during their treatment. If having a peel, there is a tingle with the Hydrafacial, and some mild discomfort for a few seconds if we’re using the vortex or suction applicators for blackhead extraction. The treatments are relaxing and after the initial infusion and extraction half of our patients end up asleep during the treatment, with the Preime probably nudging it in terms of relaxation.
Hydrafacial is different from other facials in that it uses a unique device to deliver the treatment, which involves a combination of cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration in one session. The treatment is customizable to address specific skin concerns.
The benefits of Hydrafacial include improved skin texture, tone, and firmness, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and deep hydration of the skin.
Maintenance treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks. For those wanting a strong exfoliation, the HydraFacial can be performed with a Glycolic peel, most of our patients use it as a stepping stone to other energy-devices which are more effective and require maintenance sessions less often.
Nope! Nothing more than transient redness.
The results of Hydrafacial can last for several weeks, but regular treatments are recommended to maintain optimal skin health and appearance.
We also recommend patients follow a good skincare regimen that includes daily cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection. To see optimum results, one should also avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, as these can contribute to skin aging and damage.
The treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the facial selected and the number of steps recommended.
During your Hydrafacial treatment, your skincare provider will use a unique device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate your skin. The treatment is customizable to address your specific skin concerns.
We’re globally recognised as being “Device Gurus.” Meaning we have the very best technologies and get the very best out of them. Our Deluxe versions of the Dermafacials give you that 5 star Spa experience.
