For the last decade, the Hydrafacial has been a global phenomenon as the leading medical facial. In 2022, a new challenger was launched, the Préime Dermafacial, incorporating more steps and technologies that Hydrafacial was missing.
We’re proud to say we’re one of the first clinics in the world to also offer Préime, with many protocols co-developed by our founder, Dr. Sach Mohan, who lectures and trains clinics around the World.
At Revere, we use both Hydrafacial and Préime Dermafacials for “kickstart programs” designed to provide an immediate glow with a multi-step deep cleanse, gentle exfoliation, and hydration. The good news is, we’re still fans of both and often use either Hydrafacial or Préime depending on the specific skin concerns of our clients.
Both treatments begin with a deep cleansing facial procedure and light peel exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and impurities from the skin’s surface. This is followed by a customized serum infusion, utilizing active ingredients tailored to various skin types. While the Hydrafacial offers superior choices of boosters in collaboration with other skincare brands, the Préime features an oxygen-enhancing dermabrasion handpiece, known as the Vibrox, which we believe is its “hero” applicator.
Beyond that initial deep cleanse, extraction, and infusion, the primary distinction lies in the customization options available. The Préime Dermafacial boasts superior customization with three additional technologies – Ultrasound, Radiofrequency, and Microcurrent – that enable it to deliver significant aesthetic benefits not only to the facial muscles but also to deeper tissue layers. Conversely, the Hydrafacial incorporates soothing LED light therapy and lymphatic drainage, which are critical for skin health.
Hydrafacial is a non-invasive skincare treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration using a unique device to improve the appearance and health of the skin. Its suitable for all skin types and is incredibly gentle yet effective.
The treatments are relaxing, and half of our patients will have a nap during their treatment. If having a peel, there is a tingle with the Hydrafacial, and some mild discomfort for a few seconds if we’re using the vortex or suction applicators for blackhead extraction. The treatments are relaxing and after the initial infusion and extraction half of our patients end up asleep during the treatment, with the Preime probably nudging it in terms of relaxation.
Hydrafacial is distinct from traditional facials in that it uses a smart device to deliver a combination of skincare treatments in one seamless session. This facial treatment is highly customizable to target specific skin concerns such as congested skin, dull skin, dry skin, and uneven skin tone.

Maintenance treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks. For those wanting a strong exfoliation, the HydraFacial can be performed with a Glycolic peel, most of our patients use it as a stepping stone to other energy-devices which are more effective and require maintenance sessions less often.

The results of Hydrafacial can last for several weeks, but regular treatments are recommended to maintain optimal skin health and appearance.
We also recommend patients follow a good skincare regimen that includes daily cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection. To see optimum results, one should also avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, as these can contribute to skin aging and damage.
Post-treatment, we advise patients to follow a comprehensive skincare regimen that includes daily cleansing, intense moisturisers, hydrating and soothing serum and sun protection. The treatment can take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the facial selected and the number of steps recommended.
