Vbeam Laser

(From £120)
  • THE TREATMENT

The VBeam Perfecta is the gold standard of Pulse Dye Laser technology. It delivers an intense burst of light deep into the skin, safely and effectively treating multiple skin conditions, including redness, flushing, spider/thread veins, red scars, rosacea, stretch marks, port wine stains and more.

  • HOW IT WORKS

One of the most popular treatments here at Revere, the VBeam’s Pulse Dye laser works by breaking up and dispersing the red blood cells without damaging the rest of the skin. After being absorbed by the blood vessels or melanin in the skin, it safely and efficiently treats a number of skin conditions.

The VBeam is proven to be safe, with minimal pain or downtime. Immediately following the treatment, the area may be slightly swollen, sensitive and feel warm. Some patients may also experience light bruising lasting approximately for two to four days, which can be easily concealed with makeup.

The treatment will be preceded by a thorough consultation, which is crucial for determining the right course of treatment for your skin. At this consultation, we’ll measure the amount of melanin in your skin, allowing us to adjust the laser power to your specific needs and avoid under- or over-treatment of the skin.

  • TREATMENT AREAS

The VBeam can be safely used on the face or body.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is it safe?

The treatment is completely safe and has been used to treat babies and children with port wine stains since the early 80s. It’s also generally painless, although some patients report a slight tingling or warmth during treatment. Anaesthetic cream is not required but could be applied to the treatment area to minimise discomfort.

Revere’s Northwood Clinic is a Centre of Excellence and European Training Centre for Syneron Candela, the VBeam Laser’s manufacturer, which means that you will also receive an exemplary level of care.

  • Do I need to take any precautions before my treatment?

We recommend avoiding exposure to sun or tanning before and after the treatment, wearing a sunblock of minimum SPF 50 prior to and throughout your treatment cycle. You should also avoid scrubbing or using abrasive skin cleansers during the first few days following treatment. Your full post-treatment recommendations will be given by your Revere doctor or therapist, based on your medical history and the condition you are being treated for.

  • What are the side effects?

The VBeam’s side effects are minimal – it doesn’t break the skin so there’s little to no downtime involved. You may experience some redness or mild swelling in the treated area, but this normally resolves within a couple of days. Very occasionally, bruising may occur (in the treatment of certain conditions, such as redness within a scar, this bruising will be deliberately induced), but this bruising generally disappears within a week.

  • When will I see my results?

Many patients see their results right away, and sometimes notice improved firmness and tighter skin in the treated area. However, you may require a course of treatments to achieve your desired outcome, depending on your particular condition and the extent of its manifestation.
