Pico Enlighten for tattoo removal

( From £100 )
  • THE TREATMENT

enlighten™ is the most advanced laser system for the effective and safe removal of tattoos and benign pigmented lesions. Revere Clinics are proud to be the first clinic in the UK embracing this technology.

  • HOW IT WORKS

enlighten™ uses short, high-power picosecond laser pulses to efficiently and quickly break down the ink particles in tattoos. A picosecond is one-trillionth of a second, and is 1,000 times shorter than the nanosecond pulses used in other laser tattoo removal procedures.

Picosecond laser pulses have been shown to remove tattoos more completely and in fewer treatment sessions than alternative laser treatments available. The enlighten™ laser system also uses multiple wavelengths, meaning it can treat all skin types and all tattoo colours effectively.

  • TREATMENT AREAS

enlighten™ is gentle enough to be used almost anywhere on the body, including the face. Book your complimentary consultation to find out if enlighten™ is right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many treatments sessions are required?

Tattoo ink is deposited deep in the skin, so multiple treatment sessions may be required. The number of treatments can vary depending on the size, composition, depth and ink colour of your tattoo. However, at Revere we have seen excellent results from just two sessions, which is why we’re not currently offering packages for this treatment.

  • Will the tattoo disappear completely?

In most cases, yes. However, it is important to know that some ink colours are more difficult to clear than others, so results can vary. Your likely outcome will be discussed at your complimentary consultation.

  • Is it safe?

enlighten™ uses non-thermal picosecond lasers which protect the surrounding tissue. The broken down ink particles are harmlessly absorbed into the blood and passed out of the body.

  • Is the procedure painful?

Patients compare the procedure to a rubber band being snapped against their skin. Topical or local anaesthetics may be applied to minimise discomfort.

  • Are there any side-effects?

Most patients experience redness and swelling immediately following the procedure. These side effects are temporary.

There is no downtime associated with the treatment. Patients can return to regular activities immediately following the treatment.
