Dermaroller
(From £200)-
THE TREATMENT
Also known as microneedling, Dermaroller harnesses the skin’s own ability to repair and regenerate itself, making it a safe, effective treatment for a number of skin concerns including scarring, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles.
-
HOW IT WORKS
Dermaroller effectively stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin through the use of thousands of superfine needles which are ‘rolled’ into the skin, inflicting micro damage. This activates the body’s repair system, causing the skin to heal itself by creating new collagen fibers beneath its surface. At your treatment, a local anesthetic cream will be applied prior to your session, to numb the skin and ensure your treatment is as painless as possible.
At Revere, we now offer Dermaroller as well as the latest ‘electronic’ E-Dermastamp treatment, which works in the same way as the traditional Dermaroller, but without the rolling motion. The E-Dermastamp penetrates the skin directly, offering increased precision, depth control and efficacy.

TREATMENT AREAS
Dermaroller and E-Dermastamp effectively reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation. It also dramatically improves skin texture, firmness and elasticity, and can even reduce hair loss. We can adjust needle depth and thickness to treat any part of the face or body safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Thousands of needles? Sounds painful! Is it safe?
When correctly applied, Dermaroller is completely safe. The superfine nature of the needles means that Dermaroller creates the micro-injuries needed to encourage natural collagen stimulation within the skin, without inflicting real damage.
Furthermore, at Revere, Dermaroller is only applied by qualified, experienced therapists. In fact, Revere’s Dr Mohan is one of Europe’s pioneering experts in microneedling, and thousands of clinics across the UK implement his protocols due to his role as Advisor to Ferndale Pharmaceuticals.
-
What’s the downtime?
Some pinprick bleeding will occur during the treatment, and the skin will be red and sensitive for a few days after treatment. Increased photosensitivity will occur in the days following treatment, and there may be some temporary bruising or swelling of the skin, although this is rare.
-
When will I see my results?
A course of treatments is recommended alongside a topical skincare regime to achieve the best possible results, with collagen regrowth most evident from around four weeks after the last treatment.
-
Am I the right candidate?
If you’re suffering from scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sagging, sun damage or loss of firmness, there are three different skin resurfacing techniques and treatment modalities that could help to transform your skin: Dermaroller, EndyMed Fractional Skin Resurfacing and MLA Pico Laser. Your consultation with one of Revere’s expert aesthetic doctors will help you decide which treatment is right for you.
-
Isn't microneedling the same as that available at Beauty Salons?
Yes, but Revere Clinics is the home of the Medical Dermaroller, Dr Mohan's devised protocols are implemented by over 1,500 medical practitioners across the UK.
