Botox for sweating
()-
The Treatment
Botulinum Toxin A, most commonly known as Botox, is traditionally associated with smoothing out wrinkles, but it can also be used to stop Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. Although miraDry is perfect for underarm sweating, Botox is perfect for targeting areas such as the hands and feet. -
How it works
Botox works by temporarily disabling the sweat glands in treated areas. A tiny needle is used to inject the Botox just under the skin’s surface to temporarily disable the sweat glands. A numbing cream is often applied to keep discomfort to a minimum so there’s no downtime. The effects of the procedure last for up to six months. -
Treatment areas
Botox can be used to combat sweating in the palms, feet and scalp. It can also be used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in the face.
